Dementia UK will be hosting its free (online) annual Summer School from 7th to 10th July, aimed at improving practice and knowledge in dementia care. This is open to health and social care practitioners, students, voluntary sector colleagues and anyone interested in improving support for people living with dementia and their families.

There are a range of online sessions (each between 1.5 – 2 hours) that are being held over the 4 days, as detailed below:

  • Admiral Nursing
  • Practical tips and advice in dementia care
  • Rarer types of dementia and tackling stigma
  • Parkinson’s and Lewy Body dementia
  • Supporting the LGBTQ+ community in dementia care
  • Culturally responsive dementia care
  • Intimacy and sensory needs
