No Bars to Skills Project offers free accredited/unaccredited training to develop and strengthen new or existing skills.
The training can be accessible to everyone aged 18 or over, unemployed/employed living in the Carmarthenshire area. Those working (but not living) in the area will need a Carmarthenshire-based office address for registration. The project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
The following courses may be available:
- Understanding Safeguarding
- Equality and Diversity
- Environmental Awareness
- Customer Service
- Personal Money Management
- Recycling and reusing materials
- Healthy Cooking
- Developing Personal Confidence and Self Awareness
- On-line Safety
- Team building craft activities
- Managing Anxiety
The availability of these courses is dependent on demand, funding, and eligibility criteria.
Training is available in group sessions online/face-to-face, or you can access some of the course’s self-study.
If there is an interest in a group session. The team are happy to deliver this training either in person in a suitable venue in your area or via video conferencing (Teams or Zoom).
